Under the Sea

During the tour of the Galapagos Islands we did some snorkelling in 4 different places as well as a kayak, and we took a disposable underwater camera with us.  It had no zoom, no flash and no view finder so we didn't know for sure how they would turn out, but thankfully some are ok!  We also make no apology for so many turtle pictures, they were amazing and should be in all pictures!  Unfortunately the shark pictures didn't come out, maybe next time...

Here is the first of the turtles...

and another...

and another 2...

There were also lots of little fish that would swim below us, and sometimes try and swim through us.

There were also manta rays on the sea bed...

Another one (or probably the same one) in the top right..

back to the turtles...

Turtle eating his dinner.  We were able to get very close up to this but with no zoom it is a bit far away.

Spot the animal...I think its another ray under the sand but might not be!

Some bigger fish...

and some more fish...

This one you might need to use your imagination, there could be an animal in here or it might just be the sea bed.

3 turtles together in this one, 2 are sleeping and one swimming in the middle.  We followed this one for a long time as he was so majestic swimming through the water.

Those are the better pictures.  There are a few other random ones, the one below is technically above the water but is still of a turtle popping his head above the water.

I am not sure if this counts as above or below the water but is an interesting angle of a turtle.

Can you tell what it is yet.....

yes another turtle at the top, well spotted

Thats about it from under the water.  Snorkelling was the highlight of the Galapagos tour and will definately be doing more of it in the future (maybe not in Guernsey so much!).  One more post to come shortly, however that is basically the end of our trip.  It has been really nice to share our blog with you and your comments have been really nice.  We hope you have enjoyed following us, its now back to reality looking for jobs, flats, cars etc in Guernsey!  See you all soon, R&C.
